If this forum ever takes off I’m hoping it will be a little different from most.
It appears that most forums are run for profit these days with advertisers and implications of donations needed to help with running costs (whatever they are).
Because we don’t have any running costs we don’t need any of those things and hopefully that will mean people can be more honest and open here than most places. As an example try submitting a negative review of one of the advertisers on one of the commercial forums and see how long that stays visible for 😏
The reason we don’t need income is because we’re hosted on a free platform right now and even if we do get bigger the running costs will still be peanuts.
Any opinions and comments more than welcome. Jump in, the waters lovely here 😏

Just seen an interesting thread on a forum that shall rename nameless asking for donations and complaining about running costs.
What on earth are they spending money on?
This one is free to run and the previous one I ran with no adverts cost me about £5 a month!

Doesn't it depend on how much "traffic" there is on a forum as to how much it costs to run? I honestly don't know. Good luck anyway.
